A small plot located in a densely populated area provided for a challenging and interesting design problem.

The client wanted to renovated and further build on their existing house of 600 sq ft

The challenge to accommodate an efficient staircase, without compromising the usable area was achieved by introducing a central stairwell, which also provided for sufficient daylight and air circulation throughout the year.

The plot had a Mango Tree which was retained and now forms a canopy over the balcony over looking the entrance - delivering the desired morning newspaper spot to the client.
